Details: A Vintage Masquerade

November 02, 2010

Here are shots from Jackie's 30th birthday/Halloween masquerade at Nuit Blanche. Everything turned out lovely and the costumes were spectacular! I did without the ghouls and the gore - instead went with a grown up version of a Halloween party that was more chic than eeeeeek! The budget was quite petite, but I was able to create some ribbon flower arrangements and sprinkle some vintage decor throughout the venue. I scored some antique frames for cheap and hung them on a branch arrangement along with a few Dollar Store masks and candles. Crafty glittery chenille stem spiders crawled on top of the tables along with black crows and sparkly skulls. For a grown-up version of trick or treat, we prepared a self-serve candy bar with take out bags. Apothecary jars with custom spooky labels complemented the vintage chic look. Lots of candles filled up the room for a moody vibe.
