Sharing a few snaps from a shoot this past April. Rags2Riches, a social enterprise from the Philippines reached out and asked me to model a few of their pieces from the Global Cruise collection. How could I say no?! The ladies behind the brand are doing amazing things for the locals- empowering and enriching the lives of many. I totally live by their whole mantra that beautiful isn't enough - things have to be meaningful as well.

We played with a few outfits, but my fave was this little ensemble. I figured a clean and crisp white canvas would highlight their handcrafted purses best. I wanted a look that still had interest and a layered feel so I wrapped an old white button-down shirt on top of my fave Uniqlo shirtdress (old, my summer staple).

I had a blast getting all glammed up by my friend and makeup artist Victoria Toda. Photographer extraordinaire Danielle Rueda worked her magic behind the lens. Team Rags2Riches led by Arianne Serafico and Julia Sevilla made sure that our day of marching through the streets of SF was ultimately more play than work. I'm a proud Filipina and so inspired by all the ingenuity and heart that hails from our little corner of the globe.

True & Co

Weekend-ing at home with True and Co. To be honest, I have always been a ripped-to-the-core oversized tee and leggings kinda girl. Hubby's lived-in pieces make for the perfect bedtime essentials. I think that I often neglect sleepwear since well, nobody else sees them. Same goes for my intimate apparel. However, it feels great to step into something just a little bit more special. It's such a treat to lounge and snooze in this extra soft and light pajama set. They are such a classic and are just as comfortable as hubby's hand-me-downs. Glad to now have something polished enough to make it to the breakfast table with family on Christmas day (I like to plan ahead)!

When it comes to bras I'm a sucker for anything stretchy and soft. I tend to stay away from underwire or padding (specially in the summer months) and prefer bralettes like these for everyday wear.

What lies beneath is just as important as what's on top. An amazing, comfortable bra and seamless undies can do wonders for your ensemble - and your attitude. Which we all know, is what truly carries an outfit. If you feel good inside, you look it too.
