I've been busy researching trends for 2011, and I must say I'm extremely excited for what's in store for our closets and our homes. What happens when art meets interiors meets fashion? Can you say Mary Katrantzou? Known for infusing amazing illustrations into her architecturally chic clothes, her new Spring 2011 collection boasts whimsical details inspired from old issues of Architectural Digest and World of Interiors. I am seeing a lot of extremely sculptural pieces on the runway, and her collection by far is the most whimsical. This collection should be displayed at the MoMA. Bas relief and trompe l'oeil details combine with interior illustrations and result in a 3D work of wearable art.

Now let's see how retailers translate this collection! I must say I'm a big fan of her clothing construction. The silhouettes look so fresh and the color palette is definitely invigorating.
