London, I'm in Love (Part 2)

Set 2 of my fave London snapshots! It was wonderful being there in late spring. Everything was in full bloom, and we only had a day or two of authentic London fog and rain. We were there  two weeks before the Queen's Diamond Jubilee and just two months shy of the 2012 Olympics. Streets were decorated and there was a general feeling of celebration everywhere. One thing I absolutely love about this place - cleanliness and order! They have without a doubt, the best public transportation system in the world. We enjoyed taking the underground and double decker buses. Of course their world famous cabbies were also a treat. Shopping - don't get me started! I spent a lot of time in Regent and Oxford streets, as well as at the Portobello Road Market (which deserves its own post).

Most of these photos were taken by my hubby.

Style File: Peplum

I'm really embracing all the feminine shapes and prints that have popped up everywhere. I hope the lady like and more refined style of dressing is here to stay. Yay for understated glamour and sophistication! Experimenting with peplums, and this top was a great intro - it's linen/silk blend and relaxed fit lets me dress it up or down. I'm starting to hoard some fall pieces and the hunter green pants are a great transition piece!

Style File: Fun With Florals

Snippets of my fave outfit from our recent trip to Paris! I'm trying to be a little more adventurous with trends, and so far my fave has to be floral print pants. I paired them with simple gold pointy flats, a bright tee, and a classic blazer. The whole outfit was comfortable yet felt so fun and fresh!

PS- That's my super gorgeous and oh-so-fashionable friend Zharah Fichard. She was a stylist at Ralph Lauren Paris.

Style File: A Walk In The Park

I can't lie, I would choose a pair of flats over heels any day. I'm just one of those moms that would rather be comfy and practical. However, I will never get over my love for high-heeled shoes so I make the effort to wear mom-appropriate ones when I know I don't need to be on my feet all day long.

Little Golden Gate

I stumbled upon a cute little park off the beaten path in Union City during a BART ride once.  I'm constantly on the look-out for great photo spots, so I mentally filed this as "high priority cuteness" . As a mom I'm always on the lookout for activities or places with the 3 F's - FREE, FUN, and FAMILY FRIENDLY.  Kennedy park is such a fun hidden gem. It's home to an adorable mini Golden Gate bridge play area.  Since we aren't in this side of the bay that often, we decided to drop by after our Fourth of July get-together for a mini photo sesh.

Even the grown ups had a blast! I highly recommend this fun spot if you're looking for a place to take some family or kid's portraits. It's a short walk from the Union City Bart station.

Natalie is wearing:
Blazer: Zara
Flag shirt: Walmart
Ruffled skirt: Target
Shoes: Toms
Location: Kennedy Park (Union City, Ca)

Thanks to my hubby and my cousin Thea for taking some of these photos!
