I can't say that I'm a beauty junkie. While I love my Sephora and experimenting with lip colors, my makeup in general stays the same. I know somethings going to stick with me forever if I hit pan or empty an entire bottle, which doesn't happen too often.

On a whim, I decided to try Honest Beauty for the first time ever while shooting images for this post. I didn't think it would make a lasting impression on me since I've been let down by lots of "all natural" makeup brands. It's extremely difficult to find safe and healthy beauty products. My skin tends to freak out when there is any oil, talc, fragrance, chemical sunscreens, or silicones (pretty much the entire ingredient list in high-end performance makeup). I've always sworn by BareMinerals, and continue to use their Complexion Rescue tinted moisturizer daily since I prefer lighter coverage. It's a godsend for anyone who wants that all-in-one product.

Curiosity got the best of me and I felt like giving Jessica Alba's new makeup line a go. No silicones, oils, artificial or potentially toxic ingredients? Worth a shot. I'm wearing Honest Beauty's  Everything Oil Free Tinted Moisutrizer in Honestly Nectar, as well as the Concealer Duo in Balanced Beige. In all honesty? I'm blown away by the quality, performance and value. This tinted moisturizer provides pretty full coverage, I actually consider it a foundation. The down side is that it's extremely thick and a bit hard to apply with fingers - probably due to the titanium dioxide (a physical sunscreen). Spreadability aside, this still falls into my top 3 face products at the moment. I won't be replacing my BareMinerals, but Honest's is a great alternative for nights out, or when I need additional help. SO thrilled to finally have found a "foundation" my skin loves that also looks great in photos. I also have to mention that the concealer is equally amazing - no creasing or caking and a fantastic color match.

Another product I'm absolutely loving is Glossier's Boy Brow (I'm wearing the black shade). After filling in sparse areas with eyebrow powder, I use a light hand to fluff up and set  my brows for a natural and well-groomed look. On busy days when I don't have much time to glam up (which is like, everyday)- as long as my eyes and eyebrows are defined, I look and feel polished.

What products are you loving lately? Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great week!
