Hi friends! I hope you’re all doing well. It’s been a while since my last blog post and WOW have things changed so much since then. We have a lot to catch up on, so I’ll be easing my way back into this journal as we navigate our new normal. I have so many personal and professional updates to share, as well as some fresh content so stay tuned.

Kicking things off with some notes on how we’ve been surrendering to the stillness and making the most of our everyday. This begins by choosing to focus on the things we can enjoy and finding ways to elevate and celebrate them. Living intentionally is an art that is rooted in both mindfulness and restraint. I’ve been using this time to practice being more present and also thinking of simple ways I can weave beauty into our daily lives. Our environments have a powerful way of influencing how we think and feel. I believe in creating a comfortable and considered home through details that make things a little more efficient and memorable. That means I am constantly curating and collecting purposeful pieces that spark inspiration and bring joy to even the most mundane tasks.

Range Dinnerware collection
Let’s talk about the space we’ve surely been spending a lot of time in these days — our dining nook. One silver lining of quarantine is we’ve been enjoying a lot of slower meals together as a family. So thankful to have these moments with the people that matter most. In an effort to set the scene for more memorable gatherings and to further spoil our senses, I’ve been slowly collecting fresh, functional tableware that I can build upon season after season.

One of my go-to destinations for practical yet polished home goods is Crate and Barrel. As luck would have it, they recently reached out to introduce the new Leanne Ford tabletop collection and kindly sent over a few pieces. It is SO good and I am beyond thrilled to incorporate Leanne’s signature look into our home. Her timeless minimal style is right up my alley. This new line consists of what I like to call essential modern heirlooms, and embodies the ethos of refined ease I am truly passionate about. Think artful silhouettes in neutral hues — matte ceramic dinnerware with subtle edges and black rims, pitchers in dramatic and interesting shapes, oversized bowls with a hand-thrown quality and beautiful linen napkins. Every piece serves a versatile purpose and looks good enough to double as decor. They all evoke a casual and collected look that’s so sophisticated.

Our new pieces set the perfect foundation for any occasion. All it takes is a switch in accessories. For this slightly dressier take on our typical everyday setup I added softness and warmth with the neutral-toned linens, natural accents (never underestimate filler foliage like baby’s breath!) for subtle rhythm and texture and barely-there glassware for sparkle and shine. The crystal candlesticks (treasured wedding presents) add a touch of drama without taking up too much visual space. To play off the graphic edges of the dinnerware, I framed each table setting with our modern black flatwareCombining different finishes and textures (matte, shiny, soft, smooth) creates a layered look that’s interesting — key when working with a neutral palette. I let the ceramics take the lead and styled the other consciously considered elements around them to create a light and airy mood. This collection feels right at home over here and makes every meal a little more special — whether we’re enjoying takeout or indulging in a fancy dinner.

Take a peek at my favorite pieces below and let me know your thoughts on this new line. What items are catching your eye? Thanks so much for dropping by! Take extra care.
